04 Jun Galderma Aesthetics Day 2019: Hyaluron filler in the lower face.
I recently attended the Aesthetics Day in Düsseldorf organized by Galderma, one of the leading companies in the field of aesthetic medicine. Plastic surgeons, dermatologists and other aesthetic professionals from all over the world attended this exciting event. The focus of this year’s Aesthetics Day was on the lower face. How can the practitioner emphasize facial features through contouring and shaping? How can volume be restored and wrinkles reduced?
Personally, the lectures and the exchange among colleagues have shown me that my facial surgery training has given me a decisive advantage in terms of in-depth knowledge in the field of facial modeling. This is particularly evident in my results in emphasizing the lower jawline, zygomatic prominence, correcting deep dark circles under the eyes and correcting the shape of the nose. My “framing procedure” for optimizing lip shape is also certainly unique in the interplay of volume, shape and proportions.
My conclusion on the Galderma Aesthetics Day:
The use of hyaluronic acid as a filler continues to gain popularity. This is not “just” about correcting wrinkles, but rather about holistic facial modeling. Although many patients want a natural look, they also want a fundamental change. Like an architect and artist, the doctor has the opportunity to realize completely new forms of the face. For me, the filler treatment is and remains a highly interesting and versatile application.
