Non-ablative skin resurfacing

Thanks to the pioneering procedure with intensive light pulses (IPL, Intense Pulsed Light), the production of collagen and elastin fibers is stimulated and irregularities in the complexion can be gently and effectively removed. We use an advanced scanner technology, CoolScan™, to ensure that the energy output is precise and consistent.

Treatment procedure

To make the treatment as comfortable as possible, a contact gel is applied to the skin. The intensity of the IPL can now be individually adjusted to your skin type and the treatment goal. The light pulses that penetrate the tissue enable targeted treatment of problem areas. The tissue is then regenerated by natural biological processes, which promotes the production of collagen and elastin fibers. The result is a visible improvement in the appearance of the skin. A session with the Lumenis® IPL takes between approx. 15 minutes, depending on the treatment objective.

Frequently asked questions about laser treatment

When can I expect the first results?

A clear improvement in the appearance of the skin is visible after just a few days. The final result is achieved after approx. 7 days.

Are treatments with Lumenis® safe?

Lumenis® is a pioneer in aesthetic medicine and enjoys the trust of renowned experts around the globe. The device is of course approved by the FDA, the US Food and Drug Administration. Numerous clinical studies have proven the effectiveness and safety of Lumenis® laser treatments.

Is laser treatment of the face painful?

The laser treatment is clearly noticeable, but well tolerated thanks to the anesthesia (nitrous oxide and air cooling).

Should I expect any downtime after the laser treatment?

Depending on the intensity of the treatment, there may be slight redness or swelling immediately after the treatment. The swelling usually subsides after a few hours, the redness the next day or over the following days. However, the redness can be easily covered with make-up. Most patients are able to resume their daily activities on the same day.

What do I need to consider after the treatment?

Direct sunlight should be avoided for a few days after treatment. Be sure to apply sunscreen. For optimal aftercare at home, we recommend an individually tailored care concept from ZO® Skin Health. We would be happy to advise you personally.
