08 May Retinol and DEANOL – the power duo for neck rejuvenation
I recently published an article on the subject of neck lifting and rejuvenation on my blog. Due to the many inquiries regarding retinol and deanol, I will go into this topic in more detail here.
What is DEANOL and how does it tighten the skin?
The chemical name for DEANOL is “dimethylaminoethanol”. In general medicine, DEANOL is mainly administered in the form of tablets. In aesthetic medicine, on the other hand, we use the active ingredient in the form of creams for non-invasive skin tightening. The active ingredient stimulates the production of lecithins, which are important components of the cell membrane. In addition, DEANOL directly tenses individual micro-muscle fibers in the skin cells. This results in a visible tightening of the skin on the face, neck and décolleté. DEANOL also has excellent antioxidant properties.
DEANOL is easy to use and can be applied independently at home. We achieve very good skin tightening results in combination with retinol. More on this below.
The effect of retinol (vitamin A)
Retinol is something like the superstar of anti-aging ingredients. And rightly so, because the vitamin is able to visibly rejuvenate the skin.
- Retinol is an antioxidant against free radicals
- Retinol regulates sebum production and helps in the treatment of acne
- Retinol supports the structure of the skin
- Retinol refines enlarged pores and scars
- Retinol reduces hyperpigmentation
In contrast to DEANOL, retinol does not stimulate the muscle fibers, but the collagen and elastin synthesis as well as the fibroblasts. The skin-rejuvenating effect has been scientifically proven and becomes apparent after 3 to 6 months of use. Lines are reduced, the skin is tightened, pores are refined and the skin tone is evened out.

Retinol and deanol: the power duo for neck and décolleté
The combination of retinol and DEANOL has proven particularly effective for skin tightening and rejuvenation. The two active ingredients complement each other perfectly and can be used as a firming treatment: Retinol at night and DEANOL during the day. Of course, skin rejuvenation does not happen overnight, but requires patience (at least 3-6 months) and professional application.
As a general rule, retinol can initially irritate the skin. A slow increase is therefore recommended. To get the skin used to the retinol, it should initially be treated every other day with a low concentration of 0.3 to 0.5%. After approx. 4 weeks, the active ingredient content can be slowly increased if well tolerated.
Beware of self-experimentation: You should always seek professional advice from a skin expert before starting a retinol treatment. My team and I are at your side at every stage of treatment.
